Yip... When Elena and I arrived at the Windjammer for breakfast this morning we found that Alex, Darrelle & Declan who had left just ahead of us had been 'captured' by pirates again...!!
Elena jumped in really fast...
...followed at a slower pace by me...
When we did get in to the dining room we started to plan our itinerary for the day... Elena was adamant she would not come with us.... when I told her she would miss the 'Leaning Tower of Pisa' she said 'I don't care.. take a picture for me!'
In hindsight it was a real good move to leave them in the Kid's Club as we had even more walking to do today....they were happy and we got a flashback to a time when we had an only child.... albeit a much older one today...but ..it was nice!!
Here taking photos of the landmarks in case we got lost on the way back... We eventually worked it out and we needed to get the shuttle bus, another bus, and a train to get to Pisa...then a 15 min or so walk in the hot sun to see this famous landmark...
This is like a painting but... the water was very grimy...
But eventually we reached .. the tower... funnily this photo has turned up a few times in recent years at odd times so I knew exactly where to find it to show Darrelle me on my previous visit there.....Her comment: '... Can't see a thing in that photo..'!!!
Ok.. to bring us in to the next century....!!! It is still standing....
All around us people were doing the 'Let's push the tower back into an upright position' pose so of course these guys had to get in on the act... Declan's did not come out as good as Darrelle's one....
We had a lovely morning and it was nice to be able to spend sometime on the ship today as we feel that there is so much happening ashore every day that we are missing out on all that is happening onboard...
And of course... at the end of the day those camera guys were waiting as we headed in to dinner!!!!!
