Summer is flying by.... We are now into August and in less than a month the school year will have started and we will be back into the crazy busy routine that that will bring!! Can't wait...!!! Last week after our return from Donegal we decided to stay put and catch up with things and with people more local.... Our week started with a visit to friends who have recently returned from Kazakhstan with their 8 month baby boy... It is nice to have another Kaz family close by... Elena & Danara not sure whether they want their picture taken or not!!!

Later on in the week they guys here were all excited to have their cousins Lorna & Alanna visit for a few days..... We snuck them in under cover of darkness !! when Elena was asleep so she had a great surprise the next morning when she opened her eyes to see Alanna looking at her!! Alanna is just turning 8 so was an ideal playmate for Elena and Darrelle & Lorna were born within a few weeks of each other and have always been great buddies!! As for me I thought I would make sure to work them hard before we played!!!!!!!Here Lorna and Darrelle get to scrub the grill pans!!
Even poor Elena & Alanna got caught..... These guys had to clear the table and they then got enthusiastic and started to wash the chairs and sweep the floors.. don't you love that age where housework can sometimes be fun!!!!
Ok, so it didn't last.... but long enough to warrant a visit to the cinema to see Ice Age 3....Dawn of the Dinosaurs... We did not bring Alex as he needs to be reassured every night that 'there no dinosaurs in this house Mam??' 'No, Alex, no dinosaurs' 'Only us, Mam you and me ... & Dad and Darrelle & Elena' And so on it goes on a regular basis... In hindsight it was a good decision as there would definitely have been too many dinosaurs for Alex in this movie!!
Speaking of movies Darrelle and Lorna spent hours and days getting creative with the camera.... they videoed small clips and then put it all together on the computer and voila..... see video clip below to see the end result..... so much better than sitting in front of a TV and way more fun!! So Lorna, here is the finished product.....as requested... We enjoyed your visit..... come back anytime!!

Hia Adrienne. Love the updates. Looks like summer is full for you guys too. The new little Irish Kazakh cutie is adorable - lovely to see the photo. It is a great gift our Kaz kids have given us isnt it - the new friends we make through adoption?
Dave and Ash flew over Thursday night to Shannon for 9 days. I am missing them both (but especially Ashling, it is the first time she has gone anywhere without me.....well she is with Daddy but you KWIM?)
I just got off the blower with them. They are heading out to Salthill for a walk and then into McDonaghs for fish and chips :-) Ash is having a ball with the Galway side and then heads upto Dublin later in the week to spend a couple of days with my side of the family. Dave is from a MASSIVE family ...........he is the youngest of 10 and Orin is the 32nd grandchild (you get the picture) so there will be lots of visiting with aunts, uncles, cuz etc., etc., meanwhile Orin and I are here in TO flying solo!! It is actually pretty cool, I have never had this much time one on one with Orinoko and I am loving it. My little Kaz man will be starting baby infants next month - how can that be?
Anyway sorry this post was not supoosed to be all about me!! Lovely as always to see your updates.
