Caught at last.....

Many many times over the past few years my guys have been exposed to the chickenpox virus and I have gladly let them 'mingle with the afflicted' in the hopes that they would get the chickenpox and 'be done with them'. Elena, especially through the creche when she was little was 'in the thick of it' many times and as Alex mingled with others, who also had chickenpox and failed to get them I joked that they must have 'Kazakh immunity' or maybe they even had them as babies, unknown to me.......

Well, today Alex woke up with 'the spots' and we are in quarantine.!!!... Darrelle's friend who was coming over today changed plans as she has not had them and her mother did not want her to 'succumb' just as the new school years starts in two weeks time..... Darrelle got to go to her house instead... An elderly lady, (and good friend) who has done ironing for us for the past 13 years cried off also as she is flying to the US in 2 weeks time and is nervous about contracting shingles so we are left feeling a little like we have cabin fever here today... We had planned visiting for the remainder of the week but.... 'Every cloud has a silver lining' and it means I managed to get some time at the computer... hence the updates!!!

Here's hoping if you visited with us in the last two weeks that you have not left with more than you bargained for!! If so, we apologise....

Here is Alex, with cheesy grin and not one bit put out by the chicken pox... although he denied strongly that he had them when they were mentioned first...
