Planes grounded a second time as ash cloud returns:
Just when we thought we could forget all about Eyjafjallajokull and trying to pronounce it.... the winds blow the volcanic ash down over Ireland and the UK again...causing chaos in the airports as once again planes are grounded along with holidaymakers....
On a plus side Declan is getting a little longer in bed in the morning, going in at 7 instead of 5.30am....
On a negative side they are getting worried about their week's golfing in Portugal and hoping they will be able to travel as planned.....
Friends of ours were all set to go visit Mickey Mouse in Florida yesterday morning to find out the night before that the plane would not be taking off... Can you imagine the disappointment of their small guy gone to bed that night sooo excited that when he woke in the morning he would be taking to the skies... next stop Florida....:( Am hoping they did manage to get going today...
Am glad that we have no imminent plans for flights .. apart from the golf....but the guys here are worrying about whether it will impact on our June plans for the cruise... I told them we will cross by boat and land if we have to but we ain't missing that trip... The packing has started already!
