Winter's Icy Grip

Just when we were getting into the swing of getting organised for Christmas... we get stranded again... this time the roads are icy... we have had a week of icy frosty weather, a little snow and below freezing temperatures all day and  no sign of a thaw yet...
In Ireland where our climate generally tends to be temperate ~ mild... we are plunged into subzero temperatures.... mind you it is very picturesque and quite a treat to see blue skies and sunshine as opposed to the usual grey overcast sky...

Officially we were to finish up school yesterday for the christmas holiday but unofficially Friday was my last day as the roads were quite severe everywhere but around my school they were particularly bad and dangerous...and having only got my car back today with my new engine  I was reluctant to do damage to another car within a month so was quite happy to stay put at home when instructed to do so by my principal....

The basketball net is so frozen that the basketball would not go through it!!!

Darrelle & her friend Abbie who were the two photographers...

Posted by PicasaSo it is Christmas Eve and a lot has to be accomplished in order to be organised for the 25th... Better go get some sleep...

Oh my gosh, it looks so beautiful! Glad you are able to be home and enjoy it, sort of!

You should use the picture that shows the trees and your street as next year's christmas backdrop. Truly beautiful!
