Settling In... Mystery of the Disappearing book!!!

We are now almost 4 weeks into the autumn term and new school year and we are all settling in nicely... I have found that getting up at 6.30am makes for a nice unruffled, stress-free morning as opposed to a rise at 7.15am to 7.30am rise..... let's hope it lasts!!!
Darrelle is working away in her 'new study room' and ventures down every so often ~ to get something to eat, ~ play the piano or violin or both, ~ask for someone to help with something she is doing...( I tend to take languages & religion and Declan is on call for business and maths...)~and make sure she is not missing out on anything!!!  Friday is chill-out night where she lazes in front of the TV and just relaxes... so far it is working and she has organised herself pretty well:)  Let's hope it lasts...!
There have been no complaints from Elena's quarter... She seems quite happy with her new class and new teacher and although she is getting a lot of homework does not seem to be having any problems thus far T.G.  Let's hope it lasts..!
Here she is showing off some of her art-work last week in school!!!
Our newest student is happy too..... although a little bird (sometimes him... sometimes his sister..!!) has told us that he has been reprimanded a few times for ....hitting...pushing...kicking..??????and has had time-out or had to stand by the wall at break-time.....Does not seem like our Alex..... Maybe he is fighting his corner...(literally and figuritively speaking!) but glad he is getting appropriate consequences for his actions and misdeeds....Funnily the evenings he comes home and tells us he was in trouble he invariably is wearing a sticker/star on  his uniform which he tells us he got 'for being good'????? ...so I guess when he is reprimanded for something they then try to find some good behaviour and then reward him...Spoke to his teacher's classroom assistant last Saturday and she said he is really good, has loads of Irish and is participating really well.. so it's not all bad news!!!:) And... he is really happy going to school:) Let's hope it lasts..... but not the inappropriate behaviour....
Small boy handprints...
In their school the junior class does not get homework for the first year.....However the school is very big on having parents read to their child and so.. almost immediately they start their 'Shared Reading' Programme..This means that Alex will bring home a short book (mostly in Irish...occasionally English) every night this year (except Fridays) and we have to read to him....
This evening when I arrived home Declan announced that sometime between bringing it home, taking it out of his bag, reading it and putting it back ....the book ..disappeared... they had searched EVERYWHERE..... to no avail.. Alex could not remember where he put it... nonone else could find it... It seemed to have vanished into thin air.... When Declan put the two small ones to bed tonight I made a renewed effort to find this elusive book... which HAD to be somewhere!!! Got the playroom tidied in the process (..an ill wind 'n all that!!), found lots of items that I did not even know were missing but... did not find the book.....
Anyway , to cut a long story/search short  I eventually found the book.... not in anywhere  amazing or anything but when I did find it... it made me smile as the name of the book was .....CÁ BHFUIL?... (meaning WHERE?)
Where indeed?!!!
And the inside page said...'Cá bhfuil an leabhar?'...'Where is the book?'
....Bhí sé sa laundry...!!!
