Alex has been a busy little boy lately...
Here he is doing his 'homework' for Speech therapy...Did I mention how slow things happen here with early intervention services??? After months we have been called for group speech therapy sessions and yesterday was Day 1. Four three year olds (No 5 got to the door , decided it was not for him and went home!)... Alex was quite excited about going all morning and did very well... it was funny watching him sitting on the small chair around the table with the others, 3 boys and a girl (guess which one was able to sit for the entire time without hopping up and down off the chair!) No... not Alex...or any of the boys!! Gave me an insight into what he will be like in the naíonra (preschool) in September....if we ever get him toilet-trained...!!! Anyway he was all enthusiastic and involved until she gave them all a small mirror and told them to make various faces... (scary face being the first) in the mirror.. Well, Alex complied and on seeing himself he either gave himself a fright or just got very self conscious but he jumped up off the chair and ran and hid his face in my lap and refused to do anything else when it was his turn!!!!! So funny... After a while he thawed and took part as long as the spotlight was not turned on him for too long!!!!
He will have regular sessions throughout the summer months so hopefully we will see the results....as long as we do our homework!!!

Here he is making a shaker.....using all the chickpeas, red kidney beans, flaked almonds, lentils that I buy on occasion and never ever use... Unfortunately I cannot show the finished products because they both lost interest before too long but thankfully not before I got a load of laundry folded and put away....
