Big sisters are great!
This evening was a busy evening so we told Darrelle we would celebrate her birthday at the weekend but of course we had to have a small cake to surprise her with when she came home from swimming tonight....
SURPRISE?????
Not possible in our house... Elena gets so excited always when we plan to surprise someone and always has to announce what is happening... Tonight she was aided and abetted by Alex who kept announcing in the car 'Where did my Mom put the 'take'(cake) Elena? Darrelle was a good sport and pretended she heard nothing of it...
This day 13 years ago.....our 7 lb miracle arrived at 4.55am...
Looking pretty ~ 6 weeks old...
At 7 welcomes her baby sister home from Kazakhstan...
How happy we were to provide Darrelle with her much longed-for sister and to see them together....
Was clearing out some drawers the other day, ones that had not been sorted since we moved and came across this old photo and decided to put it in as this was taken almost 14 years ago .... Ah youth!!!! Or is it kids that put the years on you?!!!!

Darrelle's birthday...she is such a sweetie and I love her baby pictures....what a beautiful baby, even newborn. Hope she had a great birthday.
