How did we get to here so fast?!!!!....

Yup...It's ~D-Day for all the thousands (150,000) of Irish kiddos who have been preparing to sit the Junior and Leaving Cert State Exams ...
Today's the day......
And here's our cool customer before she left early this morning:)!!!  Actually while she has proclaimed all the way up along that she was not nervous a few must have crept in overnight as she could not manage to eat very much breakfast but in general she was chilled, laidback and pleasant...definitely her father's daughter:)  and when we picked up her friend enroute they compared notes about how nervous they were or were not and relaxed considerably...

Anyway... she is now in the middle of her English Paper 1 and I need to make a  move and start preparing some lunch for when she arrives in at 12.15pm...
Whoever said that once they hit secondary school time just goes by in a flash was spot on,,, it seems no time since she was starting and now here we are three years over already....
So hope all is going well for her and them all... and Good luck also to three of her first cousins who are also slap bang in the middle of their English exam.... Cian, Alan and Lorna....
You will all do fine...
... and when it is all over we will let you in on a little 'State' secret...
.... it was not so important after all!!!!  Just kidding....
Any which way Darrelle we are proud of you.....

Good luck to Darrelle! Hard to believe she's at that stage already. It won't be long until she's leaving the nest.
We're all good here. Were on Cape Cod last weekend for a few days and called in to Anna on Monday and brought her for lunch. She's doing great.
Weather getting hot. In the high 90's.
Have been quite busy so looking forward to getting home in Aug for a holiday.
Anyway give Darrelle my best. I think Jo still has the camera.

Sorry Darelle for not fore greeting you on your EXAM occasion. We all know that you will do very well. Bet you will and how proud of our very special DARRELLE we'll all be as we are anyway. All your aunts, uncles and parents did the business and enjoy and of course we won't forget to say prayers for you examinees.

Full steam ahead and keep the head down and the confidence up.

The Fla.......n. motto " we strove and succeeded". Now what was that Col..... one - "amor vincit omnes ?" Check with DAD.
